Eiza González recently sat down to discuss her latest role in La Máquina, streaming now on Hulu, and shared some hilarious and heartfelt stories from her life, including her Halloween antics and her experiences filming back in her hometown.
When asked about her plans for Halloween, Eiza revealed that she doesn’t usually drink but transforms into her party persona, “Isa,” every October 31st. “It’s become a running joke,” she said, explaining how her alter ego tends to emerge with a bit too much enthusiasm for the holiday. “On Halloween, I just go all out!”
She recounted a particularly memorable Halloween where she dressed as Catwoman. “I had this tight onesie, and let’s just say zipping it up turned into an adventure,” she laughed. “I ended up taking a ton of photos while blackout drunk, only to wake up the next day with no memory of the night!”
Eiza also shared a hilarious childhood story about her brother mummifying her in tape during arts and crafts. “I was stuck under a table for hours, and when my parents found me, instead of helping, they just took pictures. It’s now our annual Halloween tradition!”
Switching gears, Eiza discussed filming La Máquina in Mexico City, her hometown. She admitted that staying at her childhood home was both nostalgic and challenging. “My mom insisted I stay with her, and my old room hasn’t changed at all,” she said with a chuckle. “It’s still the same tiny twin bed!”
Despite the nostalgia, it came with its own set of challenges. “She made me do chores every day like I was still a teenager. I even had curfews!” Eiza laughed, reflecting on the juxtaposition of being a successful adult and still having to follow her mom’s rules.
Eiza’s stories highlight her vibrant personality and deep connection to her roots, making her an even more relatable star. Catch her in La Máquina, now available on Hulu, for more of her incredible talent and charm.
