Allison Holker Responds to Backlash Over Her Book and Drug Claims About Stephen “tWitch” Boss

Allison Holker, the renowned dancer and former So You Think You Can Dance alum, has addressed the backlash she received following the announcement of her memoir, “Till Now: My Story of Love, Loss, and Embracing the Light.” The book, set to release soon, details her life with late husband Stephen “tWitch” Boss, who tragically died by suicide at the age of 40.

In a People magazine interview published on January 7th, Allison opened up about the shocking discoveries she made after his death, including finding a “cornucopia of drugs” hidden in tWitch’s closet just before his funeral. She also revealed that she uncovered his journal, which alluded to sexual abuse by a male figure during his childhood. These intimate details have sparked strong reactions from fans and close friends of tWitch, some of whom have accused Allison of dishonoring his memory.

The criticisms intensified after Allison posted a teaser for the interview on her Instagram. One commenter remarked, “This whole thing made me sad. He’s gone—why tear apart his name? I was fully supportive about you moving on and being happy, but this paycheck was not worth disgracing his name.” In response, Allison defended her actions, clarifying that she wrote the book with the intent of helping others and encouraging them to seek help and support in times of struggle. She wrote, “I’ll always love you,” acknowledging that her revelations are difficult but necessary to shed light on mental health and personal healing.

However, the backlash didn’t stop there. DeAndre Rose, tWitch’s brother, shared a post from dancer Courtney Anne Platt on his Instagram story, which slammed Allison for airing “dirty laundry” about tWitch. Platt called Allison’s book “the most tacky, classless, opportunistic act” she had ever witnessed, accusing her of smearing tWitch’s name. DeAndre reposted Platt’s message with the caption, “No lies told,” signaling his agreement with the criticism.

In addition, Platt claimed that those who attended tWitch’s funeral had to sign non-disclosure agreements (NDAs) to prevent the family’s privacy from being violated. She criticized Allison for breaking that unspoken rule and airing personal details publicly.

The controversy surrounding Allison’s memoir continues to grow, with tWitch’s family and close friends questioning the impact of such revelations on his legacy.
