Christina Hall is speaking out about her ongoing legal battle with her ex-husband, Josh Hall, accusing him of transferring $35,000 from her rental property income into his personal bank account without her consent. This revelation comes just over a week after the HGTV star and Josh filed for divorce following two years of marriage. The new court filings, obtained by ET, show Christina demanding that the money be returned.
In her statement, Christina reflected on the emotional strain of the situation, explaining how difficult it has been to deal with the public nature of the divorce. “The initial shock of it hitting the media was extremely stressful,” she shared. “Going through a public divorce and things that have helped me get through it…I trust my gut, I trust my intuitions, and so far, they haven’t steered me wrong.”
Christina, whose estimated net worth is $25 million, does not appear to have a prenuptial agreement with Josh. The situation has become even more contentious as Josh is asking for spousal support, but Christina is fighting against it. In the court documents, she argues, “Like all hardworking mothers, my life revolves around my children and my work. It is my understanding that Josh has his own income and therefore should not need any spousal support from me. He has sufficient assets of his own to pay his own attorney’s fees and costs.”
The issue of money seems to have played a significant role in their separation. A source told ET that Christina felt the relationship was unbalanced, with Josh not contributing financially. Josh, however, denies any wrongdoing, and ET has reached out to him for comment.
A source close to Christina revealed that she is feeling lighter after the split. “She’s looking forward to filming The Flip Off alone and feels like a weight has been lifted,” the source said. Christina herself added, “It’s my life, and I need to do what I’m comfortable with. I need to move forward and be happy because we only have one shot at it, so might as well make the best of it.”
