Power Slap’s Ronda Rousey will not to replace burst chest implant due to desire to keep training MMA
Franciska Szabo, the rising star of Dana White’s Power Slap league with a 3-0 record, has revealed she won’t be replacing her damaged chest implant as she continues her journey into MMA.
The 33-year-old Hungarian athlete, also known as ‘Hungarian Hurricane’, discovered her implant was compromised during her MMA preparation. “It happened in MMA training probably. I just realised that there is a very high inflammation in my body and all my small injuries started really hurting in my body,” Szabo shared exclusively with Mirror.
The damage was identified following a friend’s recommendation to check her implant after experiencing widespread inflammation. An MRI confirmed the extent of the injury, leading to the immediate removal of the damaged implant.
Despite the setback, Szabo maintains a positive outlook and has decided against replacement surgery. “I’m never going to replace the implant because it’s very difficult to train with you know, boxing and everything? So I don’t really mind that this bad thing happened,” she explained. Her recovery was notably swift, taking approximately four weeks.
The athlete, who has experience in wrestling, grappling, and jiu-jitsu, cites Ronda Rousey and Kayla Harrison as her inspirations. “I’d already tried out almost every combat sport. I think MMA would be great,” she shared, expressing her aspirations to compete in the UFC or PFL.
Szabo is scheduled to make her MMA debut this Saturday at Hargita Fight Night in Romania against Katalin Aranyi. Additionally, she’s setting her sights on potential opportunities with Misfits Boxing, expressing interest in facing competitors like Elle Brooke and Jully Poca.
The multifaceted athlete, who has also performed in professional wrestling in the United States, views her current situation as an opportunity for growth rather than a setback, stating she’s “feeling even more myself” following the experience.
