Christina Haack has opened up about her difficult divorce from Josh Hall, revealing the emotional toll their relationship took on her. Speaking exclusively to Entertainment Tonight (ET), Christina described the strain of being with someone who was “insecure” and how it affected both her personal and professional life.
Christina’s relationship with Josh soured even further, with reports of a bitter split. In July, Josh claimed that Christina blindsided him with divorce papers, while she accused him of stealing $35,000 from her bank account. The couple’s troubles were compounded when Josh was abruptly cut from their HGTV show, The Flip Off, which was supposed to feature both him and Christina alongside her other ex-husband, Tarek El Moussa, and his wife, Heather Rae Young.
Reflecting on the filming experience, Christina admitted, “It was not fun, to be honest. I did not enjoy filming with him.” However, she acknowledged that the decision to part ways made the process much easier for her. “Having split up made this so much easier and so much better in every way,” she added. She also shared how filming with Tarek and Heather became less stressful after the separation, despite some tensions in the past.
Despite the difficult times, Christina’s recovery has been swift. According to Tarek, who remains close with Christina, she bounced back quickly, with her “energy back” and her “excitement about life” restored. “She’s doing good,” he remarked.
As The Flip Off is set to debut in January, rumors have surfaced that Christina’s other ex, Ant Anstead, may appear on the show. While Christina didn’t confirm the rumors, she teased that fans would have to “tune in and find out.”
In contrast to her strained relationship with Josh, Christina and Tarek have managed to maintain a friendly and professional dynamic. When asked about their relationship, Christina emphasized the importance of healing from past wounds. “Healing yourself is the first step, and then healing past broken relationships is the second step,” she explained.
As The Flip Off premieres in January, fans can also watch Tarek and Heather’s show, Flipping El Moussa, which began airing on December 26th.
