In a candid interview with Kylie Jenner for Interview Magazine, Jennifer Lawrence addressed the persistent rumors surrounding her appearance and alleged plastic surgery. The conversation, published on November 27, featured Lawrence praising Jenner for her role in popularizing lip contouring, while also clarifying misconceptions about her own looks.
Lawrence explained, “I work with Hung Vanngo, who overlines the lip, and I call him a plastic surgeon because everybody in the last few months since I’ve been working with him is convinced that I had eye surgery.” She quickly dismissed the speculation, asserting, “I didn’t have eye surgery. I’m doing makeup.”
Kylie responded with admiration, saying, “Oh my God, you know you’ve been looking amazing! Have you always worked with him?” To which Lawrence humorously replied, “Well, apparently I’ve had full plastic surgery.”
Jenner shared her own experiences, revealing, “I did end up getting lip fillers, but it’s also the same with me. I’ll see before and after photos from when I was 12 years old versus 26, and my eyebrows are filled differently. I’m like, how can you compare my 12-year-old face and say I’ve gotten my jaw shaved and eyelids removed?”
Lawrence echoed this sentiment, saying, “I started at 19, so I get the before and after pictures from when I’m 19 to 30, and I’m like, I grew up. I lost baby weight in my face, and my face changed because I’m aging. Everybody thought I had a nose job, and I’m like, I’ve had the exact same nose. My cheeks got smaller.”
The duo also touched on Kylie’s friendship with Jordyn Woods post-2019 cheating scandal involving Tristan Thompson and Khloé Kardashian, with Jenner emphasizing their enduring connection. “Jordyn and I always stayed in touch throughout the years. We never fully cut each other off. One day, naturally, we were like, we want to get sushi, and we don’t want to hide.”
Through this candid exchange, Lawrence and Jenner highlighted the challenges of navigating societal perceptions of beauty and the importance of embracing authenticity.
