Former Chicago Bears quarterback Jay Cutler has found himself in legal trouble after being arrested in Tennessee for driving under the influence (DUI) and possession of a firearm while intoxicated. According to jail records obtained by E! News, Cutler, 41, was taken into custody on October 17 in Franklin, Tennessee, following a minor traffic collision.
In addition to the DUI and gun possession charges, Cutler faces several other legal issues, including failure to exercise due care while driving and violating implied consent laws due to refusing a sobriety test. After being booked into the Williamson County Jail, he was released later that day after posting a $5,000 bail.
Jay Cutler was previously married to reality star Kristin Cavallari from 2013 to 2022. The couple shared three children: Camden, 12, Jackson, 10, and Sailor, 8, and starred in the reality show “Very Cavallari,” which aired from 2018 to 2020. Following their divorce, Cutler began dating Samantha Robertson, announcing their relationship on Instagram in September 2023.
As Jay faces these serious charges, Kristin has also been navigating her own life changes, recently sharing on her podcast that she is not interested in dating at the moment, focusing instead on her children and work.
Cutler’s situation has raised eyebrows, as the former NFL star transitions from his football career to dealing with personal challenges off the field.
