Demi Moore has provided a heartfelt update on the health of her ex-husband, Bruce Willis, as he continues to navigate his battle with frontotemporal dementia. Speaking at the 2024 Hampton International Film Festival on October 13, Demi opened up about Bruce’s condition, emphasizing the importance of acceptance in this difficult journey.
She stated, “You know I’ve said this before, the disease is what the disease is, and I think you have to be in a real acceptance of what that is. But for where he’s at, he is stable.” Her words reflect a profound understanding of the challenges that come with such a diagnosis.
Demi also shared valuable advice for their daughters—Rumer, Scout, and Tallulah—encouraging them to “just meet him where they’re at.” She explained that clinging to past memories can lead to disappointment, but engaging with Bruce in the present allows for meaningful connections and moments of beauty.
Despite their divorce in 2000, Demi remains actively involved in Bruce’s life. She revealed that she recently spent quality time with him and her granddaughter, stating, “I was there two days ago, and being able to share with whatever we have for however long we have it is special.”
The family publicly announced Bruce’s diagnosis in 2022, revealing that he would step back from acting to focus on his health. Since then, they have kept fans informed about his well-being. Tula, during a recent appearance on the Today Show, mentioned, “He’s doing stable, which in this situation is good. There are painful days, but there’s so much love, and it’s really shown me not to take any moment for granted.”
Demi’s update highlights the resilience and love that define their family, reminding us all of the importance of cherishing each moment in the face of adversity.
