Logan Paul sensationally returns to WWE just SIX DAYS after retiring – as YouTuber brands critics ‘cowards’ in comeback speech amid talks of boxing Conor McGregor
The 29-year-old signed with the company in 2022 and was a huge star
He called time on his wrestling career last week after becoming a father
But now he is back and has vowed to become the next champion of the WWE
Logan Paul’s retirement from the WWE lasted only six days with the YouTuber-turned-fighter making a dramatic comeback with a typically vociferous speech.
The 29-year-old had been signed with the company since 2022 and was one of the franchise’s biggest stars over that period despite his limited experience inside the squared circle.
Paul has not been seen on the WWE since August, when he lost the company’s United States Championship to LA Knight. Paul became a father for the first time in September with his fiancee Nina Agdal.
‘I’m retired. I’m a dad, bro,’ Paul said on his podcast on Thursday.
The American had previously stated he attended a Netflix event with the WWE prior to the company bringing its flagship weekly television show, ‘Monday Night RAW’, to the streaming service in January.
And now he has made a snappy return to the wrestling sphere in a lively announcement made on Wednesday.
Logan Paul dropped the microphone after a shock speech announcing his WWE comeback
During the course of the speech, the YouTuber-turned-fighter branded his critics ‘cowards’
The WWE star announced last week that he had retired – only to reverse his decision today
He said: ‘Everyone watching back there, everyone watching at home, because I know you’re watching, if you have something that I want, I’m going to take it. I’m not asking permission. I am going to take it from you.
‘I know some of y’all in the crowd, some of you at home, are saying “Logan Paul’s a bully”, I see this narrative online, I can see it in your faces right now.
‘Y’all look like cowards, you’re pathetic, “Logan Paul’s a bully”. Yeah, I am a bully and the WWE is my playground.
‘So look. I’m not here to take part, I’m here to take over. Your approval means nothing to me. Whether you love me or whether you hate me, I don’t care because you’re still watching and you will stay watching because you are a spectator and I am a star.
‘And I promise, everyone in the crowd right now, everyone watching at home, you are looking at the future WWE world champion and his name is Logan Paul.’
The speech came just a day after Conor McGregor announced on social media that he had agreed terms for a fight against Paul.
The out-of-the-blue statement rubbished suggestions he would be taking on Spanish-Georgian featherweight Ilia Topuria, while also hinting at a return to the Octagon in the near future.
Logan’s brother Jake, fresh from a dominant win over a 58-year-old Mike Tyson last month, then broke his silence on the big news.
Conor McGregor announced a boxing bout between the pair on Tuesday on social media
Paul has boxed twice in his career professionally, losing to KSI before beating Dillon Danis
Paul also fought Mayweather (left) back in 2021 in a non-scored exhibition match
He posted on X: ‘Now it all makes sense why Conor McGregor & his management team have been desperately trying to get MVP (Most Valuable Promotions) to negotiate for a fight between us.
‘As we told them privately & I’m now saying it publicly…the only way we’re willing to explore me vs Conor in a pro boxing/mma fight is if Dana White/UFC are at the table directly or make it clear they are ok with discussions.’
‘Problem Child’ Paul offered a prediction ahead of the contest, doubtless the first of many as anticipation mounts in the coming weeks and months.
‘Conor is washed,’ he added. ‘Needs the Pauls. Logan by however he wants.’
As part of the shock announcement, McGregor also teased his long-awaited return to the UFC, three years after his last outing.
‘The rumours of a bout with [Topuria] are false,’ the 36-year-old wrote on X on Tuesday. ‘I am in preliminary agreements with the Ambrani family to face Logan Paul in a boxing exhibition in India. I have agreed.
‘I will then seek my return to the Octagon,’ he concluded in his short statement.
