Joe Rogan Gives A Stern Reaction To Khabib Nurmagomedov’s Shock Ejection Out Of The Flight
Joe Rogan and Khabib Nurmagomedov
Khabib Nurmagomedov getting ejected from a flight is baffling news to believe. Surprisingly, it all came true recently when a Fly Frontier Airlines attendant asked the former UFC champion to switch his seat. When Khabib denied and agreed to help the passengers with the emergency exit, the flight attendant remained adamant. Ultimately, the UFC legend was escorted out of the flight, sending the UFC world into a frenzy.
UFC color commentator Joe Rogan did not seem to have taken the incident in a good light. Speaking on an episode of his ‘The Joe Rogan Experience’ podcast, the 57-year-old lashed out at the flight attendant for the shocking behavior. Rogan stated that from the video, it was clearly visible that Khabib was calm and talking in a respectful manner.
“He was calm and respectful, he obviously speaks English… Wouldn’t you love to be on that flight and go ‘Ma’am, do you know who that is?’…” Rogan said.
Indeed, Nurmagomedov had to go through significant harassment. After being escorted out of the plane, the UFC legend and his team had to wait for 1.5 hours before they could get an alternative flight. Meanwhile, Khabib Nurmagomedov himself has clarified the entire incident on his X account.
Khabib Nurmagomedov Details His Shocking Experience
Khabib Nurmagomedov was traveling to California with his team. With UFC 311 coming up, the UFC legend is supposed to join his cousin, Umar Nurmagomedov. While his invaluable tips are expected to help Umar secure his maiden UFC title, the experience Khabib had prior to landing in California was pretty sour.
Taking to his X account, the undefeated champion wrote, “First of all, I need to clarify that it was @FlyFrontier not AlaskaAir. Lady who comes to me with questions was very rude from the very beginning, even though I speak very decent English and can understand everything and agreed to assist, she still insists on removing me from my seat. What was the base for that, racial, national or other one, I’m not sure.”
Surely, this was an unprecedented situation that the Dagestani legend found himself in. However, he would like to shrug off the fiasco and concentrate on making Umar Nurmagomedov the next UFC bantamweight champion come Saturday.
Khabib Nurmagomedov’s Lighthearted Banter With A UFC Employee Amuses MMA Fans
Khabib Nurmagomedov: UFC Employee
Although Khabib Nurmagomedov is not fighting at UFC 311, he continues to capture attention with the announcement of the fight card. His two teammates, Islam Makhachev and Umar Nurmagomedov, will be headlining the card. However, before the intense responsibility of cornering his teammates, “The Eagle” has revealed his lighter, comedic side in the build-up to UFC 311.
During UFC 311 fight week, Khabib Nurmagomedov had a funny moment with a UFC staff member who was holding a PR championship belt. While Nurmagomedov admits that cornering his fighters can be stressful, he didn’t let that stop him from having fun with the staff. In a video posted on January 16, Nurmagomedov playfully teased the employee, asking,
“Brother, this is UFC belt?” Nurmagomedov caught the employee by surprise. “You ready to defend this title?” “It’s the PR belt,” The employee smiled “It doesn’t matter. When you have UFC belt, you have to protect this. Anytime, anywhere.” Fans loved seeing this lighter side of ‘The Eagle.’
