Aussie boxer Kaye Scott has revealed the aftermath of the brutal injuries she sustained during her fight against Desley Robinson last week.
The 40-year-old Commonwealth Games medallist suffered a unanimous decision defeat by Robinson in Sydney on Friday, bringing an end to her undefeated fight record.
Scott had beaten her Aussie opponent back in 2023, but could not repeat the feat to clinch the IBF World Middleweight title, with the pair landing some huge blows during the fight.
At one stage both fighters appeared to accidentally clash heads, with Scott being left with a huge egg over her right eye. Her team addressed the swelling by placing an ice pack on her forehead between rounds.
It was a nasty-looking injury, with Scott taking to social media to reveal that she had an emergency CT scan on her brain and skull following the meeting.
She also posted a video and several pictures showing she had sustained two painful-looking black eyes.

Despite the nature of the injuries the light-middleweight, who won silver at the World Championships in Delhi and Astana, seemed in good spirits as she revealed she underwent an emergency CT scan after the fight.
‘Mild heart attack yesterday when I was sent by the sports doc to get an emergency CT scan on my brain and skull,’ she wrote on Instagram.
‘The “raccoon eyes” and bruising which had spread down my neck, top of [my] ear and inside my ear were concerning for a skull fracture.
‘A big sigh of relief with the docs phone call today, informing me that my brain and skull is OK! My big, hard head saved me!!’
Scott also included several pictures of her CT scans on Instagram.
Reflecting on her defeat, the fighter took to social media after the bout to write: ‘You win some, you lose some.
‘Unfortunately, last night I couldn’t execute my game plan; beaten by the better fighter on the night. Losing sucks but it’s part of sport and life.
‘I gave everything I could in that moment, can’t do much more than that.’

She later went on to thank her family and friends before adding: ‘The crowd support, the beautiful messages before and after the fight mean a LOT!!’
‘Boxing is a selfish sport and I do a lot for my own goals but I do want to be a positive role model within the sport.
‘I love inspiring and encouraging others in sport and in life. The second video in my post made me cry this morning; inspiring other little girls means the world to me!’
Robinson, meanwhile, admitted after the fight that she went into the bout with a broken foot.
