Arman Tsarukyan Thinks UFC Will Officially Announce His Fight Against Islam Makhachev By Next Week
Arman Tsarukyan and Islam Makhachev
Arman Tsarukyan is gearing up for a massive comeback. After serving a 9-month ban for striking a fan during his UFC 300 walkout, he’s ready to make waves again. Tsarukyan recently hinted that his next fight could be against Islam Makhachev, with the date and location already set. He also teased that Dana White might confirm it soon. Fans are buzzing about what could be one of the biggest matchups in the lightweight division.
In his words, “My manager said I’m going to fight for the title at the beginning of next year. And I’m so excited and hopefully after this event, they’re gonna announce like officially when I’m going to fight. But they already told me the place where I’m gonna fight and date…Yeah, I think like in one week it is going to be official.”
This wouldn’t be the first time both will face off. Tsarukyan is one of the few fighters who made Makhachev look uncomfortable, pushing him to the limit in their previous clash. Now, Tsarukyan is determined to settle the score by claiming the title from Makhachev, making this potential rematch even more compelling.
Arman Tsarukyan Eyes Charles Oliveira After Islam Makhachev Fight
While the Makhachev fight isn’t officially confirmed, Arman Tsarukyan is already planning ahead. In a TNT Sports interview, he named himself, Charles Oliveira, and Islam Makhachev as the top lightweights in the division. Looking to the future, Tsarukyan predicted a potential title defense against Oliveira if he dethrones Makhachev to become champion.
The Armenian fighter is setting his sights on dominating the division. He said, “Charles Oliveira is one of the best in our division. And I feel like Islam [Makhachev] Charles Oliveira and me are the top three in the lightweight division right now. When I am a champion, I would like to fight with Charles… I would like to finish him.”
The lightweight division could see a major shake-up if Arman Tsarukyan dethrones Islam Makhachev. One title change has the potential to completely shift the dynamics of the UFC, opening doors for fresh matchups and rivalries.
