Superman Off-Duty: Henry Cavill Doesn’t Mind Bar Photos—Even When He’s Drunk-S

When Henry Cavill isn’t saving the world on the big screen as Superman, he enjoys a more down-to-earth activity—relaxing with friends at bars, often with a drink in hand. And despite being one of the most recognizable faces in Hollywood, Cavill is surprisingly open to fan interactions during his off-duty hours, even when he’s had a few too many.

In a candid interview with DuJour magazine, Cavill shared his easygoing attitude about being approached by fans in public spaces. “If people want to take pictures, that’s fine,” Cavill said. “But they’ll take pictures of me drunk.”

The actor’s relaxed approach to fame is refreshing in an industry where many celebrities go to great lengths to maintain a polished public image. Cavill, however, seems to embrace his imperfections, showing that even Superman needs downtime. With a career that has taken him from the red carpet to global advertising campaigns, Cavill has become used to fan attention, whether he’s looking camera-ready or not.

However, Cavill is quick to point out that fame is not what drives him. “Do you want to be famous? Then you shouldn’t be an actor,” he remarked bluntly. “If you’re trying to be famous, you’re lost before you even start. You might as well apply for Big Brother,” referring to the popular reality TV show.

For Cavill, the attention is a byproduct of the work, but not the reason he does it. He admits that the constant admiration could lead to complacency, but he remains focused on honing his craft rather than basking in the adulation. “That’s really flattering, but I’m not going to throw all my eggs in that basket,” he explained.

While Cavill’s fans may appreciate his candid, down-to-earth personality, it’s clear that the actor is more interested in continuing to develop as an artist than in cultivating a celebrity persona. Whether he’s in the cape or at the bar, Henry Cavill remains committed to the work, not the fame.
