“Argylle Super Spy” brings together an A-list cast including Henry Cavill, Oscar winner Sam Rockwell, Bryce Dallas Howard, the film is directed by Matthew Vaughn.

Recently at a press conference in Korea, the cast of  Argylle  had the opportunity to share about the film and received a unique gift from Vietnamese fans: hand-painted conical hats with the actors’ faces.

Argylle  revolves around the investigation and reluctant adventure of introverted female writer Elly Conway (played by Bryce Dallas Howard). The actress of the series Jurassic World and The Help plays Elly Conway – a reclusive writer with a best-selling fantasy novel called “Argylle”. One day, Elly discovers that what she writes is shockingly similar to reality, even to the spy Argylle. This brings her to the attention of dangerous organizations.

Accompanying her on this adventure is the “invisible” spy Aidan, played by Sam Rockwell. Aidan is the “twin” version of Argylle, proving that the truth is not as dreamy as Elly Conway said. However, the slovenly appearance is the perfect cover for a good spy and Aidan knows it. Actor Sam Rockwell is known for the success of the film Three Billboards Outside Ebbing, Missouri, which brought Rockwell an Oscar for Best Supporting Actor.

Argylle’s Super Spy Trilogy

Henry Cavill plays Argylle, the textbook spy. Classy, ​​talented, and stylish. Packed with action sequences, stunning fashion, and plenty of helmet-wearing turns, Argylle is a top choice for moviegoers this holiday season.  The  cast shares hilarious moments in front of and behind the camera, including a music video featuring the cast and Chip the cat, the star of the film.

Both Sam Rockwell and John Cena – who plays Argylle’s best friend Wyatt – have expressed their admiration for Henry Cavill’s physicality in action scenes. While Rockwell struggled to keep up with Cavill, former wrestler and action star John Cena admitted that his co-star “outclassed” him in terms of stamina and endurance in the gym.

Bryce Dallas Howard said she was personally contacted by director Matthew Vaughn for the role of Elly Conway: “ None of the agents had a script or anything, and he just said, ‘I really want you to read this and tell me what you think.’ It was Jason’s script, Jason Fuchs, the writer and producer of this film, wrote something perfect and every three pages there was a real ‘wow’ feeling. That’s what you feel when you watch the film, like an emotional journey.”

Breaking Bad star Bryan Cranston will be the villain in  Argylle . The veteran star also shared his surprise when he first read the script: “There were a few pages I had to reread because I was like oh my gosh, he’s really going to do that, it’s true that some people dare to write, some people dare to direct. Just reading it was fascinating, and when he assembled this cast, I was so happy to be a part of it.”

The film is scheduled to premiere on February 10, 2024 (Lunar New Year 2024).
