Live Introduction
“Welcome to the live edition of Happy Second Views! Thank you to everyone in New York and to everyone watching online around the world. Our special guest is one of the most talented actors and ‘Supermen’ of our generation, Henry Cavill!”
Part 1: What it’s like to be back as Superman
Josh: Welcome back to Superman, Henry! How does it feel to be wearing the costume again?
Henry: It’s been amazing, Josh. Superman is a character that means a lot to me. It’s been five years since I last donned the cape, and I’ve always held out hope that I’ll get the chance to do it again. When I put the costume back on, I’m not only excited, but also have a very special emotional attachment.
Part 2: The Secret Behind the Cameo and the Moment of Re-Wearing the Superman Costume
Josh: So how did your recent cameo come about?
Henry: I was filming The Witcher when I got the call to reprise the role. However, due to my tight schedule, I wasn’t sure if I could make it. In the end, we agreed on a filming schedule and kept it a secret from the Witcher crew. I re-wore the Man of Steel costume on a secret set, and it was a truly memorable moment.
Part 3: On Enola Holmes 2 and Sherlock Holmes
Josh: In Enola Holmes 2, you reprise your role as Sherlock Holmes – another iconic character. How do you feel about this role?
Henry: At first, I was hesitant because Sherlock has been portrayed very well by many actors. But when I read the script, I realized that Sherlock in Enola Holmes is a special version, because his personality will be different when he is with his sister Enola. The brotherly relationship between the two characters helps me have a warmer perspective on Sherlock.
Part 4: Interacting with Millie Bobby Brown
Josh: I find the combination between you and Millie Bobby Brown very interesting. How are the two of you different in the movie and in real life?
Henry: Yes, we have a real brother and sister relationship. Millie brings a youthful, fresh energy, which makes the scenes more lively. I also tease her a lot, and Millie is not afraid to fight back!
Part 5: Lessons from the past and secrets to success
Josh: What advice would you give to actors taking on iconic roles like Sherlock or Superman?
Henry: I think you should approach the role honestly and believe in your abilities. Don’t worry too much about being different or trying to imitate someone. The important thing is to bring your own perspective to the character.
Part 6: Childhood and the journey to becoming Superman
Josh: Going back a bit, you once described yourself as a sensitive boy. With a testosterone-filled childhood in a family of five brothers, how did you overcome it?
Henry: Yes, I grew up in a high-energy family and fighting between brothers was a must. There was a rule that you couldn’t punch in the face! Those years made me stronger and better prepared for my future acting life.
Josh: Thank you Henry for sharing your emotional stories and funny memories from your career. Thank you everyone for watching, please continue to support Henry in his upcoming projects!
