Doechii Makes History
A huge congratulations to Doechii for winning Best Rap Album of 2025! She now joins Lauryn Hill and Cardi B as the only women to ever win in this category. This is a major moment for female rap, and Doechii’s win proves that anything is possible.

Of course, as soon as the awards were announced, the Grammys faced backlash. Many fans, not just the Barbz, pointed out that Nicki Minaj has been in the industry for over a decade and still has not won a Grammy. People believe that the Grammys have a personal issue with her, and honestly, I agree. If you’ve been putting in work for years while others get rewarded, it’s only natural to feel some type of way.
The conversation about the Grammys being biased isn’t new, and rap fans continue to call them out. Hopefully, one day, Nicki and the Grammys can fix their issues, but even if they don’t, she’s already an icon without one.

Cardi B finally confirmed that her highly anticipated sophomore album is coming this year! She teased the news in an interview, saying, “It’s wrapped. It’s coming.” Fans have been waiting for this project, and it looks like 2025 will be the year we finally get it.
She also looked absolutely stunning at the Grammys, serving one of the best looks of the night. Offset even posted heart-eye emojis, which had people speculating he was talking about Cardi. However, he later deleted the post, adding more mystery to their situation.
Kendrick Lamar Dominates
Kendrick Lamar had an incredible night, winning Record of the Year for Not Like Us and taking home multiple awards.
