As the results of the U.S. presidential election indicated that Donald Trump was getting closer to winning, Angel Reese was almost at a loss for words. The Chicago Sky star shared her astonished response on X. She wrote, “Woke up speechless…”

Many supporters echoed Reese’s response as Trump continues to move closer to the White House, leading Kamala Harris 267-224 according of the most recent AP reports.

Neither contender received Angel Reese’s endorsement

Reese’s initial answer struck a chord with her fans, who are eager to see whether she will post any additional thoughts as the evening wears on as the election results continue to be revealed.

She had emphasized the importance of voting and actively urged others to do so earlier in the election cycle. Reese had already met Harris and, when asked about the campaign earlier this year, chose to emphasize encouraging voter turnout rather than endorsing either candidate.

She said : “I haven’t been able to tap a lot into the political election so, I’m not that educated right now, but [I] just continue to learn,” “Everybody go out there and vote. I commend that, and I just tell a lot of people to go out there and vote because we need it for this election.”

Other well-known players, like LeBron James and Steph Curry, publicly backed Harris in the interim. In a previous interview, Curry gave an explanation of his endorsement, pointing to Harris’s advocacy for women’s rights as a major factor.
