The REAL Winners & Losers from NFL Week 12

Welcome back, NFL fans! It’s Week 12, and you know what that means—time to break down the real winners and losers of the week. From crucial turnovers to some questionable coaching decisions, this week was full of jaw-dropping moments. So let’s dive in.

NFL Week 12 winners, losers: Giants headed for offseason overhaul?

Officially Accredited Media Outlet – Congrats to Them!

First, a shout-out to the official media outlets. You’ve earned your stripes this week, but the real drama went down on the field. Congrats, you’re accredited, but the real winners came from the gridiron.

Blop Nine: Quinton Johnston – The Sophomore Slump is Real

Just when it looked like Quinton Johnston was having a sophomore resurgence, disaster struck. In prime time, he dropped three crucial passes. I’m sorry, Chargers fans. It was a bad day all around for Johnston. And yes, all three drops were unforgivable. Maybe I was too quick to say Harbaugh was stronger than the Chargers, but there’s no denying that this was a tough look for a player hoping to build on his second-year momentum.

Blop Eight: The Giants – Another Week, Another Disaster

The Giants found themselves at the mercy of Baker Mayfield and the Buccaneers this week. Things took a turn when the Bucs fumbled, but Baker was quick to recover and save them three points. The Giants missed the chance to capitalize, fumbling their opportunity right through their fingers. It was a rough outing, and it didn’t get much better when their center was bulldozed by Vita Vea. Let’s just say, it’s not a good time to be a Giants fan.

Blop Seven: The Commanders – Fumble and Fail Against Dallas

This week’s blunder goes to the Washington Commanders, who fumbled away an interception and handed the ball right back to Dallas. If you’re wondering how you lose to the Cowboys at home, this is exactly how. One bad mistake leads to another, and next thing you know, your playoff hopes are slipping away.

Blop Six: Jameis Winston – Classic Jameis Blunders

Jameis Winston was in full “blop” mode this week. From his two-point conversion attempt where his helmet speaker was dangling to encouraging the Steelers to jump offsides, Winston continued to embody the spirit of inconsistency. But let’s be real – he’s still a beloved figure in the NFL because he’s both hilariously terrible and occasionally brilliant.

Blop Five: The Colts – Flea Flicker Fail

The Colts attempted a flea flicker with Jonathan Taylor, but it was doomed from the start. With Joe Flacco and Anthony Richardson on the same team, it’s clear that no one else is allowed to have arm strength for the Colts. The play was a comedy of errors, and it was one of those moments where you couldn’t help but laugh (even though you probably shouldn’t).

Blop Four: The 49ers – 12 Men on the Field… Twice

The 49ers pulled off the rare feat of being penalized for having 12 men on the field… twice in a row. It’s not often you see that happen, and certainly not back-to-back. Kyle Shanahan must’ve been seeing red after that mistake, but it didn’t cost them the game – they were still dominant in other aspects.

Blop Three: Chiefs vs. Refs – A Hard-Hitting Affair

This blop goes to the refs who took a hit to the head after a field goal. It’s become almost comical how the Chiefs seem to be involved in controversial calls, but hey, maybe the refs needed a taste of their own medicine. Kansas City is getting all the calls (and now they’re fighting back), so we’ll call this an “evening the playing field” moment.

Blop Two: The Bears – An Unforgivable Error

DeAndre Carter of the Bears had one job: Stay away from the football. But of course, he failed. The ball bounced off his knee and the Vikings quickly recovered. It’s moments like this that make you question how the Bears ended up where they are.

Blop One: The Officiating Crew – Looking Back is Unacceptable

And then, we have the officiating crew who showed us that looking back is now considered unsportsmanlike conduct. Apparently, the NFL has gone full Oasis mode—you can’t “Look Back in Anger.” If only they’d called a better game, maybe some of the confusion could’ve been avoided.

Winning Quarterback: Tua Tagovailoa

Tua Tagovailoa continues to be a man on a mission. He’s never lost to the New England Patriots, and on Sunday, he showed them why. Throwing for four touchdowns (three in the first half alone), Tua proved that he’s not only efficient but explosive. With the Dolphins back in playoff contention, it’s hard to ignore his growing MVP candidacy.

Losing Quarterback: Kyler Murray

Kyler Murray’s tough season continued this week. Despite his defense holding the Seahawks to just 10 points on the road, Murray made a critical mistake by throwing a pick-six that sealed the Cardinals’ fate. If his defense hadn’t stepped up, this could’ve been an even bigger disaster.

Winning Receiver: Jordan Addison

With Justin Jefferson sidelined, Jordan Addison stepped up in a major way, catching eight passes for 162 yards, including a 69-yard bomb. This is just the beginning for Addison, who had been solid but never quite hit the 100-yard mark until now. He’s proving to be a major asset for the Vikings.

Losing Team: The Giants

The Giants once again find themselves in the bottom tier. Not only did they lose badly to the Bucs, but they were also humiliated by their own mistakes. Whether it’s missing opportunities or getting blown up by the defense, it’s clear they have a long way to go. It’s time to hit reset and hope that next year brings some hope.

Moral Victory: The Panthers

While the Panthers lost to the Chiefs, this was a game they can build on. Bryce Young looked competent against a tough defense, and even though they lost in the final minutes, they showed enough promise that gives fans hope for the future. Maybe it wasn’t a win on the scoreboard, but it was a moral victory for Carolina.

Conclusion: Another Wild Week

Week 12 had its fair share of drama, from stunning wins to heart-wrenching losses. The real winners were the teams that executed when it mattered, while the losers were the ones who faltered under pressure. The NFL continues to deliver, and we’re only getting started as we head into the final stretch of the season.
